What a beautiful garden,
Roses, bluebells and more.
What a beautiful garden,
At least it was before.

Now the garden's empty,
Dead, complete with bones.
Flowers soon replaced,
by shelves of jagged stones.

In among the rocks,
Is her skeletal hand.
Above a den of a fox,
Forgotten and damned.

She is the ghost of the garden,
She can never leave here now.
So stay out of the garden.
I mean it,
leave here,
NOW

Once again you've done justice and pride to the art piece in question, it remains beautiful even as it gets into specteral territory so well done on that.

Ah, this poem works with that picture perfectly! :aww: It feels like an intro for a horror game, starting out sweet and then turning into anything but sweet, hehehe~
I really like how each stanza is darker than the last. :greetings:

I read the first paragraph and believed it was going to a be a lovely sweet poem, and then I got to "at least it was before", and realized just how this was going to go.

I like the way you spaced your paragraphs. I was able to let things flow when it made sense to, and then when you cut if off quickly, like with "i mean it; leave here; now" it brought a quick and urgent pace to what I was reading, which fit what you were writing about perfectly. This was awesome; and the picture fit with it totally.

Quite an interesting poem. It screams out danger and something of the slightly Gothic too, what with your word choice in 'dead', 'skeletal' and 'ghost', it really does give your poem an eeriness which is very effective especially coming up near to Halloween.  There's a simplicity in the words used, but that doesn't detract from how well laid out the verses are and the rhyme scheme for each verse just works. What did I personally get out of your poem? Well it conjured up images of rainy days with gardens and old allotments disheveled, ugly, and morose in their tone. It's a pleasant surprise to take away the stereotypical ghost in a graveyard/house and place it in a different locale. So hat's off to you.
